Corporate Programs

A Corporate Foundation is a private foundation governed by the same tax regulations as other private foundations.  Corporate foundations are usually funded by a profit-making company and often assume responsibility for the company's philanthropic giving.

Corporate Giving Programs are administered within a corporation. Corporate giving programs make grants for limited purposes that are usually closely associated with the interests of the company.  Corporate giving programs sometimes include an employee matching program as a facet of its total giving program.

The two types of corporate giving programs may be managed jointly.  In some cases a private foundation bearing a name associated with a company will have few if any ties with the original source of funds.
