Join your colleagues from The Boeing Company, Microsoft, Bank of America, Safeco Insurance Foundation, Amgen, Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation, and other corporate giving programs and company foundations to discuss current trends and issues impacting the field at the premier annual gathering of corporate grantmakers in the Northwest. An all-day seminar designed for corporate grantmakers by corporate grantmakers, the Philanthropy Northwest Corporate Philanthropy Institute includes interactive hands-on exercises and innovative real world examples.
This year, the Institute features award-winning thought-leader and pioneer Kellie A. McElhaney, author of Just Good Business: The Strategic Guide to Aligning Corporate Responsibility and Brand, and founding faculty director of the Center for Responsible Business at the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business. In a recent interview with Philanthropy Northwest member Carol Pawlak from Amgen, Kellie McElhaney shared key insights about effective corporate philanthropy. Read Kellie's full interview here.
Attendees of the Institute will:
Compare regional and national corporate giving trends. Did you know that in addition to giving almost 10% of all philanthropic dollars to the Northwest in 2008, corporations and company foundations made significant contributions through employee matching gifts, in-kind donations, and volunteer programs?
Learn how philanthropy can align with an overall business strategy to strengthen a companys brand.
Receive tools to effectively share corporate giving stories with stakeholders.
Participate in intimate discussions with peers and share strategies for making the most of resources to address critical needs in communities.
