Please join your foundation peers at the second annual Family Philanthropy Day. Mary Pembroke Perlin will lead a discussion with Bill Gates Sr. and Ginny Esposito about legacy, and small groups will talk about succession planning, donor intent, engaging the next generation and reconsidering perpetuity (or not). This is an amazing opportunity to hear from national leaders and talk with fellow family foundation folks about issues unique to family philanthropy. See video of the discussion with Bill Gates, Sr. here!
Family foundations make up the bulk of Philanthropy Northwest members and national foundations. This is an opportunity to share stories, hopes, frustrations, accomplishments and goals for your family and your communities.
Presenters: As co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates Sr. guides the foundation’s vision and strategic direction and serves as an advocate for its key issues. National Center for Family Philanthropy founding president Ginny Esposito is a national expert in the field, traveling all over the country engaging families in conversations about philanthropy. Mary Pembroke Perlin is on the board of the National Center for Family Philanthropy, is past board chair of Philanthropy Northwest, and is trustee of the Pembroke Perlin Fund.
