The Internet has placed more resources at grantseekers’ fingertips than ever before. Below is a sampling of the information that can be accessed the Web. Other areas in the Looking for a Grant area of this site also include links to resources.

The Foundation Center
This comprehensive site includes a Grantmaker Information directory includes links to thousands of grantmaker Web sites, a short course in proposal writing, an online library, and links to other Internet resources.

Philanthropy News Network Online
Philanthropy News Network Online information and resources to nonprofit organizations.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy
This Web site offers a summary of current issue of The Chronicle, links to other Web sites and a variety of other information.

Puget Sound Grantwriters Association
This Web site has links to funding directories around the Northwest (including the Philanthropy Northwest Member Directory), and information on hiring a fundraising consultant.

Association of Fundraising Professionals
Look here for links to national resources as well as for the contact information for your local branch. This site also features a long list of FAQs on grantwriting and fundraising.

Technical Assistance for Community Service
Offering trainings and publications, TACS has become an indispensable resource in the Northwest. Their Web site includes a a very useful FAQ area, covering many aspects of nonprofit management.

Chronicle of Philanthropy Technology Guide
The Chronicle has complied a thorough list of resources to help nonprofits with their technology needs.

The Web site for this legal counsel of philanthropy and nonprofits is loaded with information and FAQs on topics like starting a nonprofit, governance and bylaws, restricted funds, advocacy and much more.

David Lamb’s Prospect Research Page

Nonprofit Resource Center
A site designed for managers, board members, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations, as well as people interested in forming new organizations. This site has an endless list of FAQs about nonprofit management.

Alliance for Justice
The Nonprofit Advocacy Project of the Alliance for Justice works to give tax exempt organizations a better understanding of the laws that govern their participation in and affectation of the policy process. The Web site includes technical assistance, and plain-language legal guides.

The Grantmanship Center
Since 1972, TGCI has been offering workshop and seminars on grantwriting and research. This site takes their work to the Internet, offering links to funding resources around the country.
